An amazing upgrade from my old 6990. Framerates in battlefield 4 are exceptional, only time i see it dip below 60 fps is when i'm flying in multiplayer with everything on ultra and max AA. I don't know why people are saying this thing is a blow dryer, because it most certainly is not. I can barely hear it over my case fans even while playing battlefield, though my case does have exceptional airflow with it being a full tower AZZA Genesis 9000. Great card and a great buy, even at 50 dollars above the MSRP.

This gpu is amazing and will run games at max far into the future. Its quiet compared to the rest of my computer just sounds like a whisper, but it does get louder if you start to push it. It is big so make sure your rig can hold it and it requires a lot of power need a psu that runs 750w or more and needs a 8 pin and 6 pin connector. Its also only digital so you need a Hdmi cable, DisplayPort, or DVI. YOU CAN NOT USE VGA or any converter it is digital only so the BLUE CONNECTOR DOES NOT WORK. It is a great gpu and I highly recommend it.

Great card at a greater bargain

Great card at $559 although the stock cooling setup is not very efficient and can be loud. I replaced the cooling with an accelero xterme 3 and I now run it in near silence at 1180/1500 and it usually gets 50-55c on full load.

I have however experienced the black screen of death twice and it happened in the same day coincidentally(yes I have elpidia memory). But in the 2 months that I have owned it, it seems to be an anomaly. Hopefully AMD can put some drivers together to help the owners who have it happen more frequently.

865 kh, 300 watts, loud and hot

I am giving it 5 stars because it simply works. I am getting 865kh from this card and its been running 24x7 non stop mining dogecoins. While I paid $100 over MSRP and this card runs the hottest of my 290s I havent had any problems with it. I expect the card to pay for itself within 3 months, so how can i not give 5 stars for something that pays its own way?

The reference cooler is loud and the GPU does run hot on all of these 290s, but it does a good job of keeping the VRMs cooler then other aftermarket solutions and it does expel all the heat out the back of the case instead inside like dual and tripple fan solutions.
